Im a chubby 12 year old girl i need to loss weight fast?

November 17th, 2009

Im about 145 pounds and i need to loss weight fast I WONT DO STUPID THINGS i will try doing things i can do im a chubby 12 year old girl im almost 13 please help me.
Fast weight loss is not necessarily healthy weight loss. Don’t fall for gimmicks. My advice to you is for you to seek the help of a dietitian or nutritionist. You can also speak to your doctor about who you can go to. Also, you may be at a good age to join a gym. Find one with free classes that you can take (i.e. Pilate’s, yoga, cycling). In the past, me changing my diet and exercising at least 3 times a week has helped me.

Eat right and exercise. Playing out side and opting for fruit and vegetable instead of junk food will pay off. Good luck.

You have to eat healthy, lots of fruits and veggies and get active! Go outside and play, don’t watch tv, don’t sit and do video games all day…go for a walk or jog. Go on bike rides, exercise! you can do it!! :)

Diet and exercise it will work really fast. Don’t overdue it. Start taking in smaller portions. Do some workouts when you wake up in the morning. It will start your day better and you will also start seeing results.

Try just cutting out sweets and dont eat when you’re not hungry. I used to eat a massive bag of sweets in 2 days so I now, buy a bag then split so many into a little bag and have a little bag a night. Also instead of a biscuit I’d eat fruit. Also people mistake thirst for hunger. And work out. Maybe the wii fit or a local gym.
Good luck x

Did you get chubby "fast"? The answer to that is probably NO; you put on the extra weight over time. That is how you will have to lose it – over time. Typical average (over the long run), healthy, weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. Change you diet and increase the amount of exercising you do.

Losing weight fast doesn’t work. Start slow. Try to get more mobile, go for walks, anything to get moving. The most important thing is to have breakfast, that speeds up your metabolism for the day. You should have some protein in the morning, an egg, meat or peanut butter. Then try to watch the amount of food you eat. No snacking unless on healthy stuff like carrots and celery. Try to drink a big glass of water before you eat, it helps to make you feel full. Also eat slow, this gives your brain enough time to tell your body you had enough. If you eat fast, you tend to eat more than your body needs. I know it will be hard. I’ve been there. Good luck.

Start walking for 20 minutes twice a day or more. The more the better. Also, cut out any sugars in your food or drinks. Cut way down on carbs and eat mostly green veggies and lots of lean low cal protein. Calcium is also important in weight loss. Get adequate amounts of restful sleep. Drink more water. If you want to eat, tell yourself you are allowed, but choose food wisely and in small amounts and eat slowly and sit down to eat. Make yourself do something active first before you eat. If it’s a piece of pie that you don’t see everyday, tell yourself that when you lose what you want, you will allow yourself to go to the bakery and get that piece of pie later, after you achieve your goal. That way, you aren’t feeling so punished. Later, you will probably decide that you really didn’t want that pie as much as you thought you did at the moment.

Okay, dont worry. Go out to the track everyday(maybe just in the summer) and walk a lap, jog one, walk one jog one. Until you feel youve done enough. Then if there are bleachers you run/jog/walk up and down all of them. YOu will feel soooo much better, trust me. Then you can also do situps/crunches or other exercises with leg weights or arm weights as a supplement. Do the walking/jogging/running everyday and you will be guaranteed to lose weight and stay fit! Also, eat healthy limited amount of snacks, stay away from fast food as much as possible. Dont do the weights everyday, only every two or three days, but definetely do the running/walking/jogging as much as you can. Ask a guardian if this is okay, do it, and youll feel sooo much better guaranteed.

You can even use an ipod while doing this so its fun, or bring a friend!

I hope this helps! Dont overwork yourself even if you think you should. You must talk to guardians or doctors about it, so you dont get sick. Good Luck!

well…losing more than 20 pounds will be tough…what i would do at that young age is advice you not to try diets that are too strict. You can do a calorie diet…they help a lot. and do exercise every morning and night. if you have a large back yard…try running around it for 30 mins. each morning or u can do jump rope (this is a very good way to exercise). and at night, you can try other exercises..such as trying some sit ups as best as you can.

the idea for exercise is to keep true to it. what you dont want to do is to start to exercise or a diet and dont follow through with it.

good luck!!and have fun!!

to keep the weight off (recommended)
find out how many calories u need a day in order to maintain weight. subtract 500 and consume no more calories than that amount. That will be ur new daily calorie intake.
then exercise for about an hour everyday, with little or no breaks. Running is probably ur best and most rewarding option. or instead u could get a gym membership and burn off 500 calories at the gym everyday.
follow that method, and you’ll definitely lose weight and keep it off. U would lose around 2 pounds a week, doesnt sound like a lot but it adds up and u keep it off.

if ur so concerned about losing it fast, u can eat much less. but then ur metabolism will dip and when u eat again you will gain it back really quick and prolly end up weighing more than when u started out

Cut your calories, a little. If you normally eat 2500, try cutting back to about 2100. Or if you eat about 2200, try about 1800 calories a day…your caloric needs will be higher than an adults because you are a growing child, but are based on your body type and build. Your doctor can give you your personal caloric needs.

You can find the calorie information in the nutrition information section of a food product. And watch your serving size. Read the WHOLE label. (For example… if the calorie information on a yogurt container says 150, that means there are 150 calories in ONE serving. Then you look at the top of the label and it will tell you what a serving is… like ½ cup or something.)

Eat only healthy foods like chicken, fruits, veggies, nuts, cheese, etc. Get a little extra exercise. Cut out junk food, soda (or drink diet), and you’ll be fine. Good luck.

The best strategy for achieving and maintaining a healthy weight in a otherwise healthy teen is to eat a variety of foods, including fruits and vegetables, and get lots of exercise. Meeting with a nutritionist can be helpful. It is not just the quantity of food, but also the quality. Before the visit, it is often recommended that you keep a record of everything you eat on three different days including at least one weekend day. You should be truthful so that the nutritionist can make specific recommendations based on your likes and dislikes.

It is always wise to eat breakfast because when we skip meals, we run low on energy and tend to eat more at another meal. Likewise, healthy morning and afternoon snacks can keep appetites low and energy levels high. Limit juice, minimize sugar-containing soda, and consider a change from whole milk to low fat (1 or 2 percent). Drinking six to eight glasses of water a day may also help. Get regular exercise, after dinner walks, bike rides, or other activities. Limit television watching to one hour per day.

These changes will happen slowly, but this is a sensible strategy to keep you thin for the long term, rather than some fad diet you will have to repeat again.
