hi gottagota, …
hi gottagota, That’s great! Thanks for pointing out the connection that when your eyes relax it makes your whole body relax. And also that dry eyes tend to disappear as the eyes become more relaxed, and all the fluids (blood circulation, tears, vitreous, etc.) can circulate more easily and naturally. Best wishes!

So to all people …
So to all people who don’t believe in it , try just one month, and don’t wear your glasses , eyes must move in all directions, glasses prevent you to move them, safe if you have big frame !
So i begin it until i have got improvement, i’ m actually undercorrected of 3 diopters than my real correction, i have 6 diopters in reality

hi kaederukawa187, …
hi kaederukawa187, most doctors will tend to say what yours said, that there is no exercise that can cure poor eyesight. There is a small but important minority of eye doctors who know and readily say that you can improve your eyesight. Both doctors are speaking from their own bias and experience. Close your eyes and think of yourself with clear eyesight, picture yourself. Notice what feels different. Do you seem to be more relaxed and less stressed? That is the heart of it.

hi debulk,
1) yes …
hi debulk,
1) yes they do work but please be wary of the idea of eye exercises. Instead think of relaxation and vitality in the eyes.
2) does cold water help? sure, if you use either a cold or hot washcloth and it feels refreshing and relaxing, that can only help.
3) Method for daily improvement. Please follow my naturalsight link above, which goes to a link to my website visionimprovementcenter for some basic info.
Great that you want to improve your eyesight! Good luck with it.

hi lookinginwonder, …
hi lookinginwonder, you also asked if people have quantitatively dropped their prescription by diopters. Yes, definitely. Higher prescriptions tend to be more wrapped up in unpleasant (and possibly repressed) emotional memories. Many with your pretty high level of nearsightedness and astigmatism have improved and some have gotten back to 20/20.

hi lookinginwonder, …
hi lookinginwonder, If you are seeing sporadic episodes in 3 days, that is good! Notice before you do the Bates techniques what line you can see easily on the eyechart. Then palm or whatever, and look again at the same line, and the next line. If your eyes are more relaxed and if you are feeling a new aliveness in your eyes you will likely get brief clear flashes of the next 1 or 2 or 3 rows. Let yourself feel very excited about a small difference. This will help them take the next step.

Not to be mean but …
Not to be mean but i have heard doctors saying there is no exercise that can cure long and short sightedness. Can you tell me the truth about this? I really want to have my eyesight cured.

1)Do eye exercises work at all?
2)Does cold water on your eyes help to relax them?
3) Can you give me some methods that I can use daily for improvements in my eyes?
Because I don’t have glasses or contacts. I do have a slight weaker eye in the right that left and I use PCs a lot. But I want to improve them back to 20/20 now rather than making them weaker.
PLEASE REPLY!
Thank You

Hi,
-5/-4 …
Hi,
-5/-4 sphere -3/-2.25 cylinder
I’ve been trying bates techniques for 3 days now and have notices sporadic episodes of better vision WITH my glasses, and seemingly even better improvements withOUT my glasses. However, I havent seen a significant improvement in reading the bottom lines of an eyechart with my ‘least corrected’ eye. Did you(or do you know someone) who quantitively went down diapters on their prescription after using your techniques?
many thanks

Hi Debulk, 1)Yes …
2)For classic Bates techniques check out iblindness and central-fixation sites. For my programs click naturalsight above for to get a link to my website. 3)How long daily? at least 15 minutes, but even more powerful is learning to do them constantly all day long. By happy coincidence doing so will also make you much more relaxed and productive! And it will dissolve your tight neck and shoulder muscles.
Hi Debulk, 1)Yes that’s me in the video

Hey just a few …
Hey just a few questions, can you please answer them naturalsight?:
1) Are you the person who is on the video?
2) Can you tell me some techniques for the Bates method, or a link perhaps?
3) And finally, if you got the techniques, how long should I do them daily?

hi swimmingseal – …
hi swimmingseal – wow! that’s a really interesting idea. A purist would say NO! If you’d just said use a contact in one particular eye, that would teach your eyes imbalance. But maybe the switching you suggest would get the eyes flexible from a whole new perspective. Whatever you do with contacts it is best to reduce the prescription. You could ask your eye doctor to give you “computer contacts” for closer stuff, and then a pair of cheater glasses to wear over them when you really need it.

Hi Pussysitos, …
Hi Pussysitos, probably would be best without sunglasses, but the “light sunglasses” you suggest would tend to let your eyes loose from the glasses prescription and might still help quite a bit. Also check out pinhole glasses, which look like sunglasses from far away. Unfortunately they look like the human fly close up.

Hi Pussysitos, I think you are teasing? But it’s funny, you never know, it may help.

Hi OGLocPL, at …
Hi OGLocPL, at least 15 minutes, and you can do much longer. But please don’t think of them as exercises. Think of them as relaxation and revitalization techniques. When you do them correctly it should feel a lot like meditation or yoga. If you ever feel like you are straining your eyes to see better, just stop. Take several deep and relaxing breaths and try again to find ease in your practice of the techniques.

Hi wussup331, your …
Hi wussup331, your prescription is pretty mild, so you could probably spend a lot of time, except driving, without glasses. That is such a big factor for fastest improvement. As you do the Bates techniques REMEMBER to keep a sense of happy ease in your eyes. If you put “effort” into the techniques they will not work. Clear vision is an effortless endeavor. Nearsightedness takes effort. Feel that in your eyes.

I just took off my …
I just took off my glasses and my eyes do feel more relaxed. With them, it feels as though my eyes are pushing. It’s kind of annoying since I got classes that will require me to wear my glasses, but the rest of the time I can get along well. I’m about -2.5, so it’s manageable. I used to be -1.5. It got worse probably due to the new glasses, and computer use.
Well I’ll give this a serious try. I’ll have to cut down the hours on the computer. I’ll find new pastimes, maybe tennis.

I have seen …
I have seen incredible improvement in my eyesight since going the summer without my glasses. I can now see 12 inches from my face instead of 6 inches. But, I’m going to have to start school again soon, and I HAVE to see the board. What if I wear one contact in one eye, and switch eyes every day? Would that give each eye a chance to relax? I don’t want to lose all the progress I’ve made.

What about just wearing light shaded sunglass during the summer, will the eye still get better or do you have to go without anything. I hate talking to people without glasses on.
